The A.E.F.P. – Entente Florale Europe and GDPR

On 25th May 2018 the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will come into force. At The A.F.F.P. we are required to check that we have your consent to hold your information.

 

What information do we hold?

As a members of the A.E.F.P. we currently hold your data that consists of your name, address (private, professional or both, depending on what you have given us), phone number (in a few cases) and e-mail address.
The information is held by the Secretary General (who is the nominated Data Controller) and is accessible on the web page special part/ access where appropriate.

 

What do we do with your details?

We use your information in two main ways:

  1. for distributing all necessary information during the year (mainly for the assessment tour preparation) and event information like the Award Ceremony
  2. as an archival record of those who have attended, or been associated with, our
    competition over the years since our foundation in 1975.

In no circumstance will we either add extra information to your file or share your details with any organisation or private individual without first seeking your permission.

 

Do you have the right to withdraw your consent?

You have the right to see a copy of your data and rectify any omissions and errors. You have the right to ask us to delete your data. We must ask you now to please contact us either by email or post to let us know if you do not wish to be listed on our archival record or to receive our mailing.
