The focus of this prize is to award an achievement in Climate Change Mitigation. Each entrant to the Entente Florale Europe Competition is invited to submit a project for consideration by the visiting jury for this award.

In honour of our esteemed colleague, the late Mr Herbert Titz, former board member for Austria, the award of a special prize will be available for entrants to the competition in 2022 and subsequent years. The award focuses on the provision of green spaces with tangible health benefits and planting schemes designed for food or medicinal value.

From 2022, the participant city, town or village which has the highest total mark in the ‘Green Spaces’ category will be awarded the prize. All participants are automatically eligible and a separate submission is not necessary.
This year there will be a Special Prize for each criterion, to the participant which achieves the highest mark – with a limit of one special prize per participant.
